Hunt Tests
Hunt Tests are open to AKC registered retrievers (Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Curly Coated Retrievers, Flat Coated Retrievers, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Irish Water Spaniels & Standard Poodles) and non-AKC registered dogs with AKC approval. These events allow the owner to evaluate his/her dog on three different levels and were created to test the dog's natural abilities. Dogs that successfully complete the requirements for the various levels are awarded the title(s) of Junior Hunter (JH), Senior Hunter (SH) and Master Hunter (MH).
